Free-Range Big Game, Hosted by the Owners
Big game hunting in Argentina with Argentina Heritage Outdoors takes place on four owner-hosted, free-range ranches located in La Pampa (north Patagonia), Andes (central Patagonia) and Buenos Aires. The flagship species is red stag, hunted spot and stalk during March-April roar (rut peak). We also hunt water buffalo, blackbuck, axis deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar. Our hunts are 100% fair chase by foot, guided 1x1, bow or rifle open method season.

+9,000 acres of tala woods and marshland. Axis deer and blackbuck year-round, plus other species. Located at 3,5 hours drive from Buenos Aires downtown.

How We Hunt
All four ranches offer free-range fair chase challenge. Spot and stalk on foot, with morning and afternoon outings along the different sections of our ranches. Big Game Hunting FAQ
When is the big game season in Argentina?
Red stag season runs from March 1 to August 31, with the roar peaking March to April. Axis deer and blackbuck at Buenos Aires Ranch can be hunted year-round.
Is the hunting free range?
Yes. All four ranches offer untamed free range land, fair chase over tens of thousands of acres. Record-class stags are also available in some of our ranches (preserve area).
Can I combine red stag with other species?
Yes. La Pampa province ranches offer options like water buffalo, fallow deer, blackbuck, axis deer, multi horned rams, mouflon and wild boar. Fishing and wingshooting for doves, pigeons can be added as side trip. Ducks hunting also can be added depending on the time on the year.
Can I bring my own rifle to Argentina?
Yes. Argentina requires a temporary firearm import permit, and we help you to prepare the paperwork before the trip so everything is arranged for the airport process. Lodge rifles are also an option if you prefer to avoid checkpoints.
How do I get my trophy back home?
We coordinate field prep at the ranch and connect you with trusted taxidermy and export agents who handle documentation and shipping to your taxidermist in the U.S. or Europe.
