Free-Range Big Game, Hosted by the Owners
Big game hunting in Argentina with Argentina Heritage Outdoors takes place on four owner-hosted, free-range ranches in La Pampa, Patagonia and Buenos Aires province. The flagship species is red stag, hunted spot and stalk during the roar from March 1 to August 31, with the rut peaking mid-March to mid-April. We also hunt water buffalo, blackbuck, axis deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar. Every hunt is 100% fair chase and guided one-on-one, and the owners host each group personally.

La Pampa, near Victorica

Pampas Ranch
La Pampa, near General Acha
+30,000 acres of calden country and a family lodge built for small groups, 1.5 hours from Santa Rosa airport. Red stag, buffalo, blackbuck, fallow and mouflon.
Andes Ranch
Patagonia, near Bariloche
+120,000 acres of mountain terrain at 4,000 to 6,000 ft. Spot and stalk red stag on foot or horseback, with spike camps close to the roaring stags.
Buenos Aires Ranch
Buenos Aires province, near Madariaga
+9,000 acres of tala woods and marshland. Axis deer and blackbuck year-round, plus water buffalo. An easy add-on to a city stay or a dove shoot.

How We Hunt
All four ranches are 100% fair chase free range. Hunting is spot and stalk on foot, with morning and afternoon outings and a drive to the day's section with your guide. Big Game Hunting FAQ
When is big game season in Argentina?
Red stag season runs from March 1 to August 31, with the roar peaking mid-March to mid-April. Axis deer and blackbuck at Buenos Aires Ranch can be hunted year-round.
Is the hunting free range?
Yes. All four ranches are 100% fair chase free range over tens of thousands of unfenced acres. Record-class stags are also available in dedicated preserve areas at some ranches if that is what you are after.
Can I combine red stag with other species?
Yes. In La Pampa you can add water buffalo, fallow deer, blackbuck, mouflon and wild boar to a red stag hunt, and wingshooting for doves, pigeons and ducks can be added to the same trip.
Can I bring my own rifle to Argentina?
Yes, most of our hunters do. Argentina requires a temporary firearm import permit, and we prepare the paperwork with you before the trip so the airport process is quick. Lodge rifles are also an option if you would rather not fly with yours.
How do I get my trophy back home?
We coordinate field prep at the ranch and connect you with trusted taxidermy and export agents who handle documentation and shipping to your taxidermist in the U.S. or Europe.
